Chief Prosecutor Unprecedented Anti-Vote Bribery Audio Recording in Indigenous Languages Well Received
One-third of the population in Taitung County under the jurisdiction of the Taitung District Prosecutors Office are indigenous people. Therefore, before the Presidential and Legislative Elections of 2024, Chief Prosecutor Ko Yifen, recorded anti-vote bribery audios in five indigenous languages, in addition to Mandarin. The Prosecutors Office takes this opportunity to demonstrate its determination to combat crimes that interfere with elections and implement the Constitutional policies that respect the diversity of various ethnic groups.
Special thanks go to the five indigenous-language teachers from the Pinuyumayan, Amis, Paiwan, Bunun, and Rukai tribes for their guidance. The recordings, broadcast on government shuttle public services vehicles and on various occasions such as radio broadcasts and social gatherings in indigenous villages, have received very positive responses from all walks of life.
